If you fail to plan... then you're probably more spontaneous than I am.

With patio sitting season just around the corner (March's freakish tropical moment notwithstanding), it's a great time to make some big plans! I love plans. I think I might find them more fun than actually experiencing things. (It's not sad. No need to pity me.) Planning projects or menus or vacations or pretty much anything feels like the world is my oyster - I can brainstorm and google and color-code without actually putting down money or breaking anything... yet.

To aid in our planning process is Ms. Martha. Her basic pattern seems to be to clean first, then add/spiff up your stuff. With that in mind, here are some preliminary ideas for what excitement will happen in the patio this spring:

1) POWERWASHING. Yes.
2) Finding something to do with the cellar door (aka The Ankle Roller aka the Guest Trap) so that people don't fall to their injury while just trying to live their lives on our patio
3) Growing something - herbs? Veggies? Just flowers/grasses?
4) Figuring out a new seating scenario - we had to call it quits with some of the jenky plastic chairs that came with the house. Stay tuned for their replacements.
5) Mulching the flower beds that line the patio, and the ones in front of the house
6) Select and hang some new lights
7) Outfit the front porch - new chairs? A rug? WE SHALL SEE!
